Before You Start

All of the lessons are individual videos. If you have Guitar Tabs, you can view all of the notation/tabs here (right-click->Save As).

For those of you who might not want to load Guitar Tabs, you can view the text based tab/notation here.

If you need Guitar Tabs, you can get it here: Power Tab Software 5.64MB

In preparation for these lessons, a review of the Dominant Pentatonic Scale is suggested.

All of these lesson presented here have a Tonic of C. The scale used is a Dominant Pentatonic Scale, which you can read about in the above link. The scale consists of: R, M3, 4, 5, and b7. In the case of C the notes would be: C E F G and Bb.

All of the lessons are in Standard A=440Hz tuning.

Go here for an audio demonstration of the technique if needed.

NOTE All videos are embedded except for Ex's 3, 4, 5, 16, and the In Closing video. These examples will take you to video.google.com. I'm not sure why, but Google likes to put a video glitch for a few seconds just before the :30 second mark. You won't miss any information, but it might scare the 4377 out of you. You have been warned :)
